.xyz域名年度總結(jié)：6月注冊量遠(yuǎn)超.com域名！2017年將迎來進一步增長
對于xyz來說，2016年是意義非凡的一年。xyz與威瑞信的官司中，美國聯(lián)邦法官最后判定xyz勝；6月份xyz的銷售業(yè)績甚至超過了威瑞信，而且一直保持著良好的增長態(tài)勢。作為一個域名注冊管理機構(gòu)，xyz旗下運營的域名后綴已經(jīng)從最初的3個（.xyz/.College/.Rent）增加到9個（后來收購的.Security/.Protection/.Theatre/.Cars/.Car/.auto），其中后6個域名后綴均將于2017年1月推出。這些域名后綴不分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)或者溢價域名，所有的域名都是同樣的價格。終端用戶可以保護他們的關(guān)鍵詞、城市名字以及其他高度關(guān)注的詞用以擴大他們的線上影響力。比如賽門鐵克（Symantec）就不光注冊了Symantec.Security，還同時收購了Data.Protection、Endpoint.Security以及Network.Security等域名。另外百老匯發(fā)行公司Brand Entertainment也保護了從Broadway.Theatre到Tickets.Theatre等多個新頂級域名。
尤其值得一提的是，中小企業(yè)儼然已是.xyz域名的最大受益者。目前，數(shù)十萬美元的資金已經(jīng)投入到終端企業(yè)，比如在輸入“Arizona used cars”（亞利桑那二手車）搜索詞時，使用Arizona.Cars這樣域名的經(jīng)銷商就已在Google中排名第一，領(lǐng)先于Carfax、Autotrader和Car Gurus等行業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者。
xyz前瞻性的營銷策略也帶動了一批創(chuàng)業(yè)者為他們的新業(yè)務(wù)和新產(chǎn)品啟用新頂級域名。比如，寶馬公司前副總裁和英菲尼迪總裁創(chuàng)辦的一家新公司就啟用了新頂級域名FMC.Auto，旨在打造“未來汽車”，該項目也得到了中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)巨頭騰訊公司的支持。此外，MeetOlli.Auto是一款3D自動穿梭打印機，在《今日美國》、《財富》雜志以及多個媒體上有展出介紹。
回顧2016年，6月份是.xyz域名爆發(fā)性增長期，這可能在整個互聯(lián)網(wǎng)史上都不曾有過。XYZ單獨承擔(dān)了大約七位數(shù)美元的ICANN費用，僅用于支持互聯(lián)網(wǎng)歷史上最大規(guī)模的促銷活動。在.xyz域名迎來兩周年之際，全球共有超過220家注冊商、經(jīng)銷商以及代理商共同慶祝xyz兩周年，累計超過360萬.xyz域名完成注冊。相比同期2，507，767個.com的注冊量，.xyz域名以3，633，650的實際注冊量遠(yuǎn)超.com域名。
當(dāng)然，.xyz域名前所未有的增長態(tài)勢與.xyz域名對濫用的零容忍政策密不可分。通過與許多安全領(lǐng)域的行業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者合作，xyz反域名濫用團隊能夠主動監(jiān)控，實時檢測，能夠隨時暫停用于垃圾郵件，網(wǎng)絡(luò)釣魚，惡意軟件或其他形式的濫用活動的域名。這樣一來，.xyz域名的整個濫用率就能夠控制在1%以下。
